About Artwork Improvisation 011

Living in this restless modern world, I think about leaving constantly. Looking at the doodles in the margins of my books and overdue bills, I see wings and fins all over them; exotic birds holding longing fishes inside. It seems like with every repetition of these archetypes of wings and fins I am moved out of my stillness and revive through my designs and poems. t is believed in Persian mythology that the very first piece of mud that formed the land had been brought to shore by a fish from the ocean. Fish in this mythology is a symbol of resurrection and rebirth since it guides humankind through this passing as a protector of life. Wing, in the same manner, is believed to be the guardian of the soul and what makes the human's travel to heaven possible after death. My poems are inspired by my rebellious soul. Riding flying fishes, I break free out of my stillness, leave this muddy place behind and return to the sky as my tender feelings and invincible soul High above the clouds, deep into the waves, wings and fins are all that remains.
