About Artwork I am that Dev

I am that Deev; my head is in the sky and my feet are on the earth. This is me, both facing you and with my back to you!  This work was inspired by the SAQQĀ-ḴĀNA SCHOOL and traditions in Iranian ancient culture, as well as Shahnameh poems about div (or deev). Although literary and artistic pre-texts mention it as a malevolent or benevolent force, the dev plays an important role in ancient Iranian literature and popular culture. This work has been executed with materials such as colored pencils, pencils, markers, etc. on relatively thick paper with a size of 22x22. #alidelzendehrooy www.alidzr.com © 2022
