Reza Yahyaei, a painter, ceramist, and sculptor, was born in 1948 in Babol, Iran. In 1972, he moved to Florence, where he studied at the Michelangelo Art School and later at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, learning interior architecture and earning a postgraduate specialization in ceramics. He completed courses in sculpture and stone carving at the Carrara Academy and received a doctorate in art from the Sorbonne University in Paris. His career included teaching in Florence and holding administrative positions in Iran, including vice-chancellor at Jondishapour University and planning and restoration management at the National Museum of Iran. In 1973, Yahyaei held his first solo exhibition of paintings and sculptures at Sofita Gallery, Florence. He subsequently exhibited widely in countries such as France, Italy, the United States, Canada, and Iran. Reza Yahyaei passed away in 2025.
