Tima Zeytoon Nejad

Tima Zeytoon Nejad (b. 1981) is a painter whose practice explores the process through which lived experience becomes image. For her, painting begins at a moment when an inner experience has not yet taken a definite form. Through the process of working and through an engagement with form, color, and material, it gradually becomes a visual presence. In this process, the initial elements of the image undergo transformation, resulting in a work that is not a direct representation of the experience from which it emerged, but rather a new presence and trace of it. Zeytoon Nejad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Painting from Shahed University and has been working in the field since 1998. Her works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Iran and internationally, including at Javid Gallery, Bamdad Gallery, Karchive Gallery, Bazm Gallery, the Artists Forum of Iran, and Victoros Gallery in Florida, USA.
