Soroor Salehinezhad

Biography Soroor Saleh Born in 1981 in Karaj, Iran Graduated with a BA in French Literature, 2001-2005 At the age of fifteen, She began to learn drawing professionally. She was granted the endorsement of her teacher, Siavash Mahvis. Then, she experimentally started to learn oil painting. She also worked as a cartoonist with the local newspapers of Karaj city and student publications of Tehran University of Science and Research Branch. In 2006, She married her husband. In 2010, she gave birth to her twins, and when her sons were two years old, she held her first solo exhibition of oil paintings. After that, she participated in several solo and group exhibitions. In 2022, she started learning Iranian carpet design next to her master of art, Mohammad Niasati, so that she could use it's principles in her artwork. She chose ink and paper tools for her new artwork. Her composite works, which were all created using improvisation, are based on the combination of motifs, Iranian painting designs and Iranian carpets in today's attitude. And her oil artworks also originate from improvisation, mythology and expressionism. Soroor is currently preparing to hold several exhibitions and illustrating the text of some poetry books.
