ali rastroo

Ali Rastroo, born in 1998 in Yasuj, Iran, is a visual artist working across painting, conceptual cartoons, illustration, animation, and music. He holds degrees in painting from the Art University of Isfahan (M.A.) and the Art and Architecture University of Yazd (B.A.), and lectures at Shiraz University of Art. Beginning his artistic journey at age eight, he gained international recognition during his university years, which shaped his interest in conceptual art and surrealism. His work blends the storytelling of conceptual cartoons with the expressive power of painting, inspired by surrealist traditions, and aims to transform personal thoughts and emotions into layered visual narratives. He has earned over 40 national and international honors.
