Nazanin Karimzadeh (born 1982 Sari) is a painter whose professional practice is grounded in the intersection of personal experience, spatial study, and material exploration. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Stage Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran in 2006, followed by a Master's degree in Painting from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, in 2016. These two educational paths—one focused on light, movement, and space, the other on the depth of painterly language—form the aesthetic foundation of her work. In Karimzadeh’s practice, material is not merely a tool; it is a living presence whose qualities emerge through the process of creation. Her work is characterized by a limited color palette, careful attention to light and shadow, and the transformation of geometric, rectilinear forms into soft, flowing lines. In recent years, the four classical elements—earth, water, air, and fire—have become central to her visual inquiry, serving as metaphors for growth, transformation, and the human encounter with the world. Her works carry an experimental tone; each piece results from observing and responding to the movement of material, the energy of color, and the dynamics of form. Karimzadeh seeks to create a balance between order and chaos, structure and freedom, arriving at a rhythm rooted simultaneously in personal experience and the surrounding world. Nazanin Karimzadeh has held two solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows. Her years of teaching in art institutions and universities also form a significant part of her professional journey. Her art is a continuous effort to understand the moment of transition—where form, material, and life are constantly becoming Nov2025
