Ahmad Arabani

Ahmad Arabani, born in 1947 in Tehran, is an Iranian
cartoonist, animator, writer, and director. He began his professional career in
1968 through his collaboration with Toufigh magazine and subsequently
worked with publications including Caricature, Fokahiyoon, and Gol Agha. In 1973, Arabani joined the Institute for the Intellectual
Development of Children and Young Adults (Kanoon Parvaresh-e Fekri-e Koodakan
va Nojavanan), where he continued his work in animation. He has four animated
films produced for the Institute to his credit.

In 1971, Arabani received the Gold Medal and Honorary
Diploma at the Skopje International Cartoon Exhibition. In 2010, he received
the Best Screenplay Award at the Tehran International Animation Festival for
his animated film Kadoo Ghel Gheleh Zan. His animation works include Tabar,
Ganj, and Nogholi and the Sunflowers.
