Mohadeseh Movaghar

I am Mohadeseh Movaghar, a visual and nature-based artist. I began my artisti practice seriously in 2017, working in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and jewelry making (design and handcrafted production). My artistic inspiration stems from a direct and continuous connection with nature. My paintings are not intended to represent what is visible or fully comprehensible; instead, they emerge when an inner revelation or mental exploration takes place. I seek forms of expression that are less explored and remain authentic. In my creative process, I work without preconceived notions and avoid superficial beautification that may undermine the authenticity of the work. My focus lies in exploring the structure of existence and the relationship between humans and nature, reflecting processes such as life, death, and decay. I believe the artist acts as a connector, linking the invisible threads of phenomena throughout human history, the Earth, and the cosmos. Working with diverse materials and textures—and allowing unforeseen events to influence the work—creates a sense of wonder and discovery, resulting in a profound experience for both the artist and the viewer. Through honest expression of my emotions, I invite the audience to confront the hidden layers of their own existence.
