Alireza Adambakan

Alireza Adambakan, a painter, was born in 1976 in Tehran, Iran. He began his artistic education at the Tehran Boys’ Academy of Fine Arts, completing it as the top-ranked student. He then studied painting at Tehran Azad University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2000. Adambakan began his professional career in the 1990s and participated in the 6th Contemporary Painting Biennial of Iran at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. His first solo exhibition was held in 2002 at Elaheh Gallery, and since then his works have been featured in numerous national and international exhibitions, including Europ Art in Geneva, Contemporary Istanbul, and the exhibition 1001 Colors: Contemporary Art from Iran in New York. He has frequently collaborated with Asar Gallery, presenting series such as Asar Without Head and Endless and Tan-Daj / Tab-Tan. In his paintings, Adambakan addresses cultural, social, and political themes, depicting the contemporary human condition through bold colors, dynamic movements, and compositions filled with human turbulence.
