Alireza Asanloo, a painter and sculptor, was born in 1974 in the city of Rey. He revealed his talent in the visual arts since childhood and pursued his professional path by studying with masters such as Morteza Katouzian, Jafar Najibi, Arabali Sharveh, Shahab Mousavizadeh, Ebrahim Memarzadeh and other prominent artists. His focus on figurative art led to the formation of works in which "human" and "life" are the main axes. Asanloo's artistic path began with social realism and gradually gravitated towards surrealist and expressionist expressions; a development that reflects his view of the changes in the contemporary world. In addition to painting, he is also active in sculpture and is particularly known for creating bronze works and headstones of Iranian cultural figures; works that have been installed in cultural and artistic spaces. His career includes numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iran and abroad, and his works have been presented in cities such as Washington and New York.
