Amir Mobed, sculptor and installation artist, was born in 1974 in Shahroud, Iran. He completed his studies in Painting at the Faculty of Art and Architecture, Islamic Azad University, Tehran, and began his artistic career in the late 1980s. From his early years, his professional path was shaped through participation in the Iranian Youth Visual Arts Festivals, where he received several awards, gradually entering more established spheres of contemporary art. Throughout his practice, Mobed has worked across a diverse range of media, including sculpture, installation, performance, and environmental projects. His works often employ everyday objects and ready-made elements to reinterpret space and transform the viewer’s perception. His professional activity has continued consistently from his first solo exhibition in 1994 in Shahroud to numerous exhibitions in Tehran and Paris. His résumé also includes participation in the Tehran Sculpture Biennials, international exhibitions across Europe, America, and Asia, and an artist residency at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2003.
