Arman Yaghoubpour, an Iranian painter and researcher, was born in 1970 in the city of Borujerd. From an early age, he had a profound interest in nature and rural environments—an interest that later became one of the defining elements of his artistic style. Yaghoubpour pursued higher education in painting at the University of Tehran, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees. He also holds a Ph.D. in Art Research from Tarbiat Modares University and currently serves as a faculty member at the Faculty of Art in Neyshabur. Yaghoubpour’s artistic style can be described as a fusion of naturalism and minimalism. Using acrylic techniques and thick layers of paint, he creates familiar landscapes inspired by the unspoiled nature of Iran. His perspective on nature is not merely a representation of reality, but an attempt to convey an aesthetic and nostalgic sense of spaces deeply rooted in the collective memory of Iranians. In 2013, Yaghoubpour made a significant entry into Iran’s contemporary art scene with his first solo exhibition at Golestan Gallery. Since then, he has become one of the best-selling contemporary artists in the country. Over more than a decade of professional activity, he has held more than 50 solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally. His works have been showcased in countries such as Germany, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada. Arman Yaghoubpour's artworks are housed in prestigious collections, including the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, the Artibition Gallery, and numerous private collections. A book titled Simple Is Beautiful, compiled by Hossein Ganji, has been published about his life and works, offering an analytical perspective on his artistic journey. In addition to painting, Yaghoubpour is active in the fields of education and research. He has published numerous articles on visual arts and contemporary Iranian painting.

“With the clarity and power of yellow.”

The group exhibition “580 Nanometers / Yellow” will open on Friday, November 27, at Artibition Gallery. Curated by Pegah Behrouzfar, the exhibition features a selection of works by visual artists and professional designers. The aim of this event is to explore the boundary—and the boundarylessness—between design and the visual arts. It is an interdisciplinary project that, rather than merely linking design and visual art, examines the borders between them and the moments in which those borders dissolve.
