
Asareh Akasheh, a painter, was born in 1984 in Tehran, Iran. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Painting from the University of Art, Tehran, and a Master’s degree in Painting from Soore University. Akasheh creates her works through a combination of printmaking and spontaneous drawing. She held her first solo exhibition in 2007 at Laleh Gallery, Tehran, and has since collaborated with Homa, Mohsen, and Etemad galleries. Her works have been presented in numerous national and international exhibitions and events, including Kunst 18 Art Fair, the 24th International Art Fair Zurich, and Paper Positions Berlin Art Fair. In 2024, Akasheh received the First Prize of the Paper Art Award at Paper Positions Berlin. Her other distinctions include the Honorary Award of the Dr. Sandouzi Biennial, the Honorary Diploma of the First Tehran Visual Arts Symposium, the Merit Award of the Third New Generation Festival, the Olivier van Schultess Residency Prize (Switzerland), and a residency grant from the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris.
