Ataollah ZiNouri

Ataollah ZiNouri, born in 1944 in Kermanshah, Iran, is a distinguished Iranian painter and calligrapher. He began his artistic education in his hometown, studying painting and calligraphy under local masters, including Ajilchi and Ettihad. From an early age, he pursued the principles of calligraphy and visual composition with dedication, gradually establishing a professional path that bridges traditional calligraphy and painting. In 1969, he received his calligraphy certificate from the Iranian Calligraphers Association. In 2012, ZiNouri was awarded the First-Class Artistic Certificate (equivalent to a doctoral degree in art), recognizing his outstanding contribution to Iranian visual arts. His works are primarily realistic watercolor paintings, known for their depiction of natural landscapes, historical architecture, and traditional Iranian subjects. Over the course of his artistic career, ZiNouri has participated in numerous exhibitions in Iran and internationally, including Australia, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. A collection of his works was also published in a monograph by Negar Publishing in 2004.
