Behdad Lahooti, born in 1976 in Tehran, is an Iranian sculptor. His works demonstrate diverse periods and approaches to subject matter, combining structural skill with attention to social issues, while regional and global events significantly influence the themes of his art. He held his first solo exhibition at Gallery Sarv in 2002 and has since collaborated with galleries such as Aaran, Hedayat, Vali, and Khak. Lahooti participated in the Tehran and İzmir Sculpture Biennials in 2007, and his works were also presented in the exhibition “Iran: Front and Back” at the Chelsea Museum of Art in New York. In addition to his artistic practice, he has served as a board member during the seventh term of the Iranian Sculptors’ Association and participated in the eighth Tehran Symposium as a member of the steering committee.
