
Ehsan Abdollahi is an illustrator and animator, born in 1980 in Bandar Abbas, Iran. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts and a Master’s degree in Illustration from Tehran University of Art. His works combine colors and patterns inspired by the textiles of southern Iran. Abdollahi has illustrated books such as When I Coloured the World, A Bottle of Happiness, and Thinker: My Puppy Poet and Me. In 2018, he was selected as Illustrator in Residence at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Some of his recent exhibitions include his solo exhibition Pieces of Descent (2025, Naqshnegar Gallery, Tehran) and participation in numerous group exhibitions in Iran and abroad.
