Ghazaleh Khoshghadam

Ghazaleh Khoshghadam is a painter born in Hamedan in 1992. She pursued her studies in Painting at Sooreh University, earning her M.A. in 2021. Interested in painting from an early age, she studied under several artists in Hamedan, including Ahmad Fotout. She began exhibiting her work in group exhibitions and held her first solo exhibition, Faces Behind Faces, at O Gallery in August 2022. Portraiture is central to Khoshghadam’s practice. Through faces that convey no particular emotion and layers of color, she explores the inner world and solitude of human beings. Alongside colored pencils, she uses thread and fabric to create portraits. In these works, stitching and the selection of fabrics with varied textures, patterns, and colors become integral to the image-making process and to her exploration of the hidden layers of human personality.
