KOROSH GOLNARI

Kourosh Golnari, a sculptor, was born in 1964 in Shiraz. He graduated in Sculpture from the University of Art, Tehran. He has served three terms as a board member and secretary of the Iranian Sculptors’ Association and has been a faculty member at the University of Art, as well as a juror and selector for sculpture biennials. He was also the secretary and organizer of the first Tehran Sculpture Expo. Golnari’s works, focusing on form, space, and historical symbolism, present a combination of artistic research and technical skill. His works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Iran and around the world, including at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. Golnari has received major awards, such as First Prize at the First Urban Sculpture Biennial (2008) and First Prizes at the Fourth and Fifth Tehran Sculpture Biennials.
