Habibollah Sadeghi belongs to the generation of “Revolutionary Artists.” This prominent painter was born in Tehran, and signs of his interest and talent in painting emerged at the age of eight. He began studying painting at the Tehran School of Fine Arts between 1973 and 1976. He then continued his education at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Tehran and graduated in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in painting. During this period, he studied under distinguished masters such as Mehdi Hosseini, Hannibal Alkhas, Mahmoud Farshchian, Parviz Tanavoli, Marco Grigorian, among others. Later, he attended Tarbiat Modares University, where he earned a master’s degree in painting and a doctorate in art research. Sadeghi began his artistic career during the turbulent years of the 1979 Revolution, primarily through political and social satirical illustrations in the press, and in the following years increasingly focused on painting. Alongside artists such as Kazem Chalipa and Nasser Palangi, he was part of the core group of the Revolutionary Artists movement. The works of this renowned artist have been exhibited numerous times in various countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Poland, France, Germany, Italy, and China. His works were selected in the first, second, and fourth editions of the Iranian Contemporary Painting Biennial. He also received the title of “Selected Artist” at international events such as the International Fine Arts Competition in Japan in 1991 and the International Drawing Competition in the Netherlands in 1993.
