Hamid Fam
Hamid Fam, an Iranian painter was born in Bonab (1978). He got his bachelor's degree in Painting from Sistan and Baluchestan University in 2006 and has benefited from the presence of professors including Hamidreza Avishi, Hossein Maher, Alireza Jodey, Iraj Karimkhan Zand, Ahmad Vakili and Saghar Pezeshkian. In 2009, he got his master's degree from Shahed University of Tehran in Painting. He has also succeeded in obtaining an excellent degree in calligraphy from the Iranian Calligraphers Association in 2002, and has also won an honorary diploma and awards in this regard. In addition to painting, Fam has been teaching at the country's universities since 2007 and is currently working at Sooreh University of Arts. He has been a member of the faculty of Maziar University for six years (2009-2015) as the director of the Department of Visual Arts. Fam has been a permanent member of the Iranian Painters' Association since 2006 and has collaborated in related activities. As he started his professional activities since his undergraduate studies, he has won awards at several student festivals and has been active in national festivals and Biennials. During these years, he has collaborated with prestigious galleries such as Aria, Seyhoun, Mojdeh, Fereshteh, Deilaman, etc., and has carried out several projects related to the myths of Iran and the world; Also an Imaginary Creatures collection based on Borges's book, published by EA as a book. He has participated in more than fifty solo and group exhibitions. His most recent exhibition, "Written," was held at the Deilaman Gallery, which published a book of the same title. This book is presented with an introduction by Javid Ramezani and an interview with Zarwan Roohbakhshan, along with pictures and texts related to the exhibition's works.

About me and my works:
In painting, I pay attention to Iranian aesthetics and Western academic arts. I am looking for Iranian aesthetics with global effects. I am looking for detail in Iranian painting and composition and global expression in Western painting.
I often use mythical concepts in my work. These concepts range from Iranian culture and history to mythological descriptions in Borges's writings.
I am proficient in common painting techniques and in creating art, I use the mixed media technique.
