
Hanieh Afshar (b. 1997, Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian painter. She received both her B.A. and M.A. in Painting from the Art University of Tehran. Fragments of memory and personal experience form the core of Afshar's artistic practice. Through the depiction of blurred faces, she creates pictorial spaces that evoke the onset of forgetting. Since 2018, Afshar has participated in numerous exhibitions and art events. Her works have been presented at the Damonfar Painting Biennial, the Zhkal Festival, exhibitions at Sales Gallery, Artibition, Aliha Gallery, the Iranian Artists Forum, and a group exhibition at Kunt.wirt.schaft Gallery in Graz, Austria.
