Iraj Shafiei, an Iranian designer and painter, was born in 1962 in Kurdistan. He began his professional career in 1977 and started formal painting training in 1985 under the private tutelage of Aydin Aghdashloo. In 1988, he established his own studio and began teaching painting, while simultaneously advancing his professional career through a series of diverse exhibitions. Shafiei held his first solo exhibition in 1986 at Seyhoon Gallery, and since then, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Iran and internationally.
