Jamshid Haghighat-Shenas, a painter, was born in 1962 in Tehran. He is a graduate of painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran. He has been a member of the Iranian Artists Forum, a member of the 30+ Painters Group, an official member of the Iranian Painters Association, and has served as the head of this association. He has also taught at Alzahra University and the Islamic Azad University, Tabriz (Architecture Faculty). This painter has exhibited his works in numerous exhibitions both inside Iran and internationally. Haghighat-Shenas has received the Selected Work Award in the Dialogue Section at the First International Exhibition of Contemporary Drawing / Tehran in 1999, and the Honor Award at the 11th Dakar Biennale in 2003.
