Kambiz Sabri

Kambiz Sabri (born 1967, Kashan, Iran) is an artist working at the intersection of graphic design, sculpture, and conceptual art. He completed his undergraduate studies in Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, and later pursued an M.A. in Graphic Design. This academic trajectory contributed to the development of an interdisciplinary approach that has become central to his artistic practice. Sabri began his professional career in the mid-1990s and gradually established himself as an active figure in contemporary Iranian sculpture. His works are often shaped by a conceptual perspective, with a strong emphasis on form, space, and layered interpretations of reality. His continuous presence in exhibitions at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art—including The Iranian Garden and Manifestations of Contemporary Art in Iran—has played a significant role in consolidating his position within the contemporary art scene. Sabri has also collaborated with prominent artists such as Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian and Siah Armajani, experiences that have enriched his visual language. Throughout his career, he has received several awards, including the Special Jury Prize at the Third Tehran Sculpture Biennial and the international Skywards Award. His works have been exhibited in major art events and fairs such as Art Dubai, Art Paris, and Contemporary Istanbul. In addition to his artistic practice, Sabri has been engaged in academic teaching and has contributed to the creation of urban sculptures in various cities.
