Kasra Golrang (b. 1982, Ahvaz) is an Iranian painter. He received his B.A. in Painting from the Art University of Isfahan and his M.A. in Illustration from Shahed University in Tehran. Throughout his career, Golrang has collaborated with numerous galleries, including Homa, Mohsen, Vali, O, Arte, Iranshahr, and Nian, presenting his works in both solo and group exhibitions. Notable series such as Non-Mechanical Reproduction and Plants are among his key projects. Golrang’s practice is primarily centered on drawing with ballpoint pen—particularly black ink—through which he constructs dense, monochromatic compositions. His works are formed by the meticulous repetition of fine, compressed lines, creating textured surfaces with a high level of precision. Botanical subjects dominate his imagery, often rendered as still-life compositions. These works, while visually minimal, embody a contemplative depth and a nuanced interplay between time, detail, and perception.
