
Katayoun Moghaddam (born 1967, Tehran) is a visual artist working in painting, ceramics, sculpture, and mural art. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Traditional Arts at Alzahra University in 1993 (1372) and received her Master's degree in Visual Arts from the University of Malaya in Malaysia in 2012 (1391). Simultaneously, she began a PhD program in Visual Arts at the University of Malaya, which she did not complete. Moghaddam began her professional career in the early 1990s (1370s) and has since participated in dozens of solo and group exhibitions both in Iran and internationally. Notable events include Tehran Auction , Art Fair Switzerland (2004 and 2005), exhibitions at the National Museum of St. Petersburg (2016), and the Prague Painting Symposium (2017). In 2003 (1382), she founded and has managed Aban Gallery in Tehran. Alongside her curatorial and managerial work, she has been active in art education, teaching at Iranian universities of art. Her paintings and ceramic works are held in private collections in Iran and abroad and have also been acquired by institutions such as the Bank Pasargad Museum, the Iranian Handicrafts Museum, Imam Ali Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Isfahan. Among her publications is the book The Significance of Techniques in Iranian Murals, published by Lambert Academic Publishing in Germany.
