Sara Asareh, a painter and sculptor, was born in 1988 in Tehran. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and a Master's degree in Art Research from Islamic Azad University. Stone plays a central role in Asareh’s work, serving as a metaphor for gradual, silent decay while simultaneously symbolizing human resilience against pressure and the erosion of time. In her sculptural series, drawings, and paintings, Asareh employs diverse techniques to create personal, introspective, and thought-provoking narratives that explore endurance, transformation, deterioration, and the process of “turning into stone.” This process in her work reflects both physical and psychological, conceptual dimensions. Her first solo exhibition, Thousands of Pieces of Silence, was held in 2025 at Gallery O (Vitrin Project).
