Mahsa karimi

Mahsa Karimi (b. 1981, Tehran, Iran) is a multidisciplinary visual artist specializing in painting, illustration, and sculpture. Based in Tehran, she is a permanent member of the Iranian Painters’ Association and has exhibited extensively in renowned galleries such as Azad Art Gallery, Dastan Gallery, and O Gallery. Her work, known for exploring themes of identity, ancestry, and cultural narratives, has been showcased in prominent solo exhibitions, including And We Have Persevered (2024, ECH Art Gallery), Uneasy Ancestry (2021, O Gallery), and Everlasting Tension (2019, O Gallery). Mahsa has also participated in notable group exhibitions, such as Above & Beyond (2023, Arta Gallery, Toronto), Making Her Mark (2022, Janet Turner Print Museum, California), and Imago Mundi (2015, Venice, Italy). Her works are part of significant collections, including the Janet Turner Print Museum, and she continues to gain recognition both locally and internationally.

Experienced painter, illustrator, and sculptor with an extensive history of collaboration with leading art galleries in Tehran, such as Azad Art Gallery, Dastan Gallery, O gallery and ECH Gallery. Since 2011, my work has been acquired by numerous local and international collectors.
