Mohammad Hossein Emad is a pioneering Iranian sculptor, born in 1957 in Arak. From a young age, he pursued art as a self-taught artist, studying paintings in various styles, sculptures, and books such as “The Method of Design” by Mohsen Vaziri Moghaddam to learn the principles of art. In addition to his artistic practice, Emad began teaching painting in 1981 at the Center for the Education of Children and Adolescents in Arak. In the early 1990s, he moved to Tehran with his wife and three children to dedicate himself to sculpture in his studio. His first solo exhibition was held in 1993 at Afrand Gallery, and since then, he has presented numerous solo and group exhibitions. Emad’s artistic journey has evolved through the use of wood and metal, moving toward abstract forms and empty spaces that conceptually approach mysticism and poetic sensibility. Balance and stability are recurring themes in his works. His sculptures have been exhibited in various national and international art fairs, including TeerArt, Art Dubai, and Menart Fair Paris, and have also been featured in several editions of the Tehran Auction.
