morteza asadi

Morteza Asadi, a painter and art instructor, was born in 1957 in Tehran. He completed his foundational art education at the Tehran Art School and then studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, earning his Bachelor's degree in 1988. He continued his studies in illustration and received a Master's degree from the University of Tehran in 1996. Asadi also completed a PhD in Art Research at Shahed University and a PhD in Art History at the University of Sorbonne, Paris. Since 1997, he has been a faculty member at Shahed University, teaching art. Professionally, Asadi participated in the 2nd Contemporary Iranian Painting Biennial in 1993, winning the award, a success he repeated at the 4th Biennial in 1997. He was also recognized at the first Islamic World Biennial in 2000. His work has been showcased in numerous solo exhibitions in collaboration with Sheila Gallery, Tarahan-e-Azad Gallery, Aria Gallery, and Sohrab Gallery.
