Nazar Mousaviania, a contemporary painter, was born in 1979 in Abadan. He earned his bachelor’s degree in painting from Iran University of Science and Technology and completed his master’s degree in the same field at Islamic Azad University, Faculty of Art and Architecture, Tehran. The interplay and substitution of familiar, tangible elements form the central strategy in his work across different periods, creating dreamlike and imaginative spaces. In 2006, he held his first solo exhibition at D Gallery in Tehran. He later collaborated with Asar Gallery and Mah Gallery, with most of his major exhibitions taking place at Mah Gallery. His first international experience was in 2007, participating in a group exhibition titled Depicting the Lady in London. Mousaviania’s works have been frequently presented and sold at auctions in Tehran, as well as at Sotheby’s, Chiswick, and eYam.
