Nazgol Ansari nia

Nazgol Ansarinia, born in 1979 in Tehran, is a conceptual artist working in sculpture, installation, and video art. She received a diploma from the Chelsea College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London. After completing her undergraduate studies in Graphic Design at the London College of Communication, she was awarded a Merit Scholarship from the California College of the Arts, where she pursued a Master of Fine Arts degree. Her works are created through representations of urban spaces, architectural elements, nature, and history, opening pathways toward the preservation of national identity and community. Ansarinia’s first solo exhibition, titled “Don’t Express Your Opinion,” was held at Aun Gallery in Tehran. Her works have been presented in more than 11 solo exhibitions and over 20 major group exhibitions in Iran and internationally. In the late 2000s, Ansarinia received the NKD Norway Residency Award and the Abraaj Capital Art Prize in Dubai, and she participated in the 10th and 12th Istanbul Biennials in Turkey.
