Niloufar Rahnama is a painter born in Tehran in 1975. She received her B.A. in Painting in 1995 and her M.A. in the same field in 1998 from Azad University of Art in Tehran. Rahnama began presenting her work in solo exhibitions in 2001. Over more than two decades, her works have been exhibited in Iran and other countries, including France, China, South Korea, Kuwait, and the United States. In Rahnama’s paintings, everyday objects and plants are the central elements. Set within quiet interior spaces, they take on a contemplative presence through the interplay of grays with a limited palette of pure colors. Her paintings emerge from prolonged observation of her surroundings.
