Omid Mehdizadeh

Omid Mahdizadeh (b. 1983, Tehran) is an artist whose practice focuses on photography, which he employs as a means of creating meaning through gradual, material-based processes. Each of his series has developed over the course of several years. From photography and printing to interventions on unconventional surfaces and materials, various stages and processes are involved in the creation of his works. Through the physical transformation of the image and experimentation with materials, Mahdizadeh approaches photography not only as an image but also as an object. He has held fourteen solo exhibitions to date, and his works have been presented in numerous group exhibitions in Iran, Germany, and Dubai.
