Reza Afshari, a painter, was born in 1968 in Tehran. He is a member of the Iranian Association of Painters and holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Painting from the University of Tehran, Faculty of Fine Arts. His works have been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iran and abroad. Afshari is a laureate of the first Student Visual Arts Festival and the winner of the 5th Tehran Contemporary Painting Biennial in 1999, as well as a selected artist in the “Image of the Sky” exhibition in 2000. His first solo exhibition was held in 1995 at Ershad Gallery in Arak, after which he collaborated with major galleries including Ehsar, Golestan, Sihoon, and Sarban.
