Rezvan Sadeghzadeh

Rezvan Sadeghzadeh, a contemporary painter, was born in 1964 in Shiran, Ardabil, Iran. After completing his secondary education in 1984, he began his undergraduate studies in painting at Isfahan University of Art, earning his bachelor’s degree. He spent his final semester as a guest student at the University of Tehran’s Faculty of Fine Arts, where he subsequently pursued graduate studies in the Faculty of Decorative Arts and received his doctoral degree in 2018. During his academic training, he studied under prominent instructors such as Mehdi Hosseini, Javad Hamidi, and Mohammad Ebrahim Jafari. Sadeghzadeh held his first solo exhibition in 1992 at Golestan Gallery and has since participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iran and abroad, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. His works have been featured in the Contemporary Iranian Painting Biennials as well as in two editions of the Islamic World Painting Biennale. Among his honors is the Third Prize at the international “My Country” competition held in London in 2000, where he also received an award from Prince Charles. Since 2001, he has been a faculty member at the University of Tehran, teaching art. Sadeghzadeh is a member of the White Wall Artists Group and the Iranian Painters Association.
