Sadegh Khalifeh (b. 1984, Shushtar, Iran) is an Iranian painter. He holds a B.A. in Power Electrical Engineering and began his artistic practice as a self-taught painter in 1996. His lived experience in southern Iran, together with his professional career in the electrical industry, has played a significant role in shaping the visual language of his work. Drawing on industrial elements and mechanical structures, Khalifeh explores issues related to the environment of southern Iran, as well as the relationship between industry, humanity, and the surrounding landscape. Khalifeh held his first solo exhibition in Shushtar in 2013. Since then, he has presented solo exhibitions in collaboration with Gallery 26, Sarban Gallery, Saradipour Gallery, and Aknun Gallery (Isfahan). His works have also been featured in major events including Untitled Art Miami 2024, the Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts, the Persbook Annual, and numerous group exhibitions in Tehran, Ahvaz, Shushtar, and Isfahan. In 2016, he founded Shavadoon Gallery in a historic house in Shushtar, where he continues to serve as director.
