Salman Khoshroo is a contemporary artist born in Tehran in 1983. He began his professional career in photography and held his first solo exhibitions in 2006 and 2007 at Assar Art Gallery in Tehran. Since the early 2010s, figurative painting has become the central focus of his artistic practice. Gradually moving from realism toward a more expressive and near-abstract language, Khoshroo has explored the human face and body as sites for emotional and visual expression. In recent years, he has expanded his practice to include sculpture and relief works, experimenting with new media and materials to reimagine the representation of the human figure. Khoshroo's works have been exhibited extensively in galleries across Iran and have also been presented internationally in exhibitions and events in Paris and London, as well as at Contemporary Istanbul Art Fair.
