About the Artwork

A persian woman, from the moment she is born, is engaged in an endless battle with gazes, laws, and beliefs. A fight for ownership of her body, for the right to choose, for living freely. She battles limitations, judgments, and the lines that society draws around her. Sometimes for wearing, sometimes for not wearing, sometimes for becoming a mother, and sometimes for not becoming one. Life, for her, is a battlefield where she stands every day, proving that she is the hero of her own story.
