About the Artwork

This work recounts Charles Darwin's theory of evolution from the time of Stone Age man to the current intelligent man who, due to the evolution of intelligence, is forced to shed the blood of his fellow man to acquire oil and money through weapons and war. The hand holding the lantern symbolizes man or Diogenes the Wise, who searches the earth for the perfect man. The images of Andre Tarkovsky, Stanley Kubrick, and Charlie Chaplin symbolize artists who have referred to this issue in their works through metaphor and irony. This work wants to tell the audience that since man ate the forbidden fruit in the time of Adam and Eve, which symbolizes the seven deadly sins left over from the gene of Cain, he has shed the blood of other humans to acquire the earth's resources, and he thinks that the earth is the promised paradise.
