About the Artwork

This work is a conceptual and personal interpretation of the final sequence of the film 2001: A Space Odyssey by film director Stanley Kubrick, which is symbolically depicted as cosmic intelligence or Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. The image of famous film directors symbolizes cinematic intelligence that tends to simulate God's work to create the universe with the art of cinema. The border or frame of the painting is pasted with classical paintings, which symbolize the real world, not the cinematic and mental one.
