About the Artwork

This work belongs to the series "Seeing"—a series formed from representing my memories of forms. Forms that emerged through the placement of colors alongside one another. The raised texture of the paints, their lift from the canvas surface, is an invitation to be touched. The painting "After Their Departure" speaks of presence within absence. It speaks of mementos, etched in our hearts by those we once loved and who loved us in return. And now, though they are gone, their presence endures.
