About the Artwork

In these works, objects exist on the boundary between presence and disappearance. The table, the chair, and the objects resting on its surface, together with parts of a figure that gradually dissolve into the image, create a space in which no presence is entirely fixed. Among these objects, traces of loss and attempts at reconstruction also emerge, as though something were trying to find its place within an unfamiliar arrangement without ever fully merging with it. Rather than simply depicting objects, these still lifes explore the relationship between presence, absence, and what remains of something that is no longer fully there.
