Abdolhamid Pazouki, painter, art educator, and researcher, was born in 1955 in Tehran. He began his artistic career at the Tehran School of Fine Arts and received his bachelor's degree in painting from the Faculty of Decorative Arts in 1983. After two years of teaching at the University of Art in Isfahan, he continued his studies at the Complutense University of Madrid, earning a master's degree in printmaking and painting, followed by a PhD in art in 2006. Alongside his studies, Pazouki also taught at Sooreh University and Islamic Azad University. His first solo exhibition was held in 1985 at Negin Gallery in Tehran, and the following year, he exhibited his work at Nolde Gallery in Madrid. He has since participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Iran and Europe, and his works are held in collections such as the Tenerife Museum, the Miró Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts of Eón, Spain. His style leans toward abstract expressionism, marked by dynamic brushstrokes on white backgrounds. Pazouki has also worked in other media, including photography and installation, always pursuing an experimental and innovative artistic vision.
