Ali Chitsaz

Ali Chitsaz is a painter and designer born in 1978 in Tehran. He pursued a degree in Business Management at Azad University of Tehran before taking a different professional path after immigrating and studying painting at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2018. Chitsaz’s works have been exhibited in prestigious galleries and institutions around the world, including New York, London, Chicago, and Dubai. His exhibitions often explore complex themes such as politics, society, and human emotions through an expressive and impactful visual language. Before his solo exhibition “Come Back” at Artibition Gallery, Chitsaz held three solo shows. He has collaborated with local galleries in Iran, such as Golestan Gallery in 2008, and Aaran Gallery in 2010. Internationally, he has worked with The Bridge and Tunnel Gallery in New York and is currently collaborating primarily with E.R.A.N. Gallery in Canada. His artworks have been featured in numerous group exhibitions at notable venues like the Queens Museum in New York and the Iran Art Gallery in Montreal. Chitsaz has also created and presented several artistic series on a global scale and participated in Art Dubai. In 2010, at the invitation of Bidoun Projects, he performed a three-day live mural painting titled “Work” during Art Dubai.
