Masoumeh Mozafari

Masoumeh Mozafari

Masoumeh Mozaffari was born in 1958 in Tehran. She graduated from the High School of Visual Arts in 1978 and was admitted to the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran to continue her studies in painting. The victory of the Revolution and the subsequent Cultural Revolution led to the closure of universities from 1980 to 1983, which extended the duration of students’ studies, including Mozaffari’s. She received her bachelor’s degree in 1989 and went on to earn a master’s degree from the Faculty of Art and Architecture at Islamic Azad University in 1997. Her paintings are figurative and partially realistic, though the influence of changing perspectives is significant in her work, reflecting both Cubist teachings and inspiration from Iranian miniature painting. In addition to her painting practice, she has been actively involved in the professional art community, serving for many years as a board member and secretary of the Iranian Painters Association.
