pariyoush ganji

Pariyoush Ganji is a painter and art educator, born in 1945 in Tabriz, Iran. Her family moved to Tehran in 1948, and from a young age, she studied at the Behzad School of Fine Arts for Girls, under the mentorship of masters such as Reza Forouzi and Mahmoud Farshchian. In the 1960s, she moved to the United Kingdom to pursue higher education, attending Saint Martin's School of Art, Sir John Cass School of Art, and later Chelsea School of Fine Art in London. In 1974, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and design. Her first solo exhibition, titled "Painting and Oriental Art", was held in Tehran in 1966. Since then, her works have been featured in major national and international exhibitions, including the National Museum of Tashkent, Iranshahr Gallery, Lajevardi Foundation, as well as in major art festivals such as Teer Art and Leila Heller Gallery in Dubai. Alongside her artistic practice, Ganji taught at University of Art, Azad University, and Alzahra University in Tehran, and actively participated in cultural and artistic programs in Oman and Japan. Her works are held in the collection of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. In 2015, she was nominated for the Japan Award in recognition of her artistic achievements.
