Reza Rineh’i, born in 1968 in Tehran, is a prominent Iranian artist, calligrapher, and researcher. He holds a PhD in Art from the National Art Evaluation Council and a mastership degree from the Iranian Calligraphers Association. Rineh’i’s passion for painting and calligraphy began in childhood, and during his adolescence, he attended classes at the Iranian Calligraphers Association. In 1989, he received the prestigious Excellent Calligraphy Degree and, a year later, began teaching officially at the association. He graduated in painting with a focus on Iranian arts and miniature painting from the University of Art in Tehran. Rineh’i is recognized as one of the pioneers of a modern approach to combining calligraphy, miniature painting, and illumination, presenting classical techniques with a contemporary vision. Works in this style, reflecting his creativity, were first exhibited in 2009 at the Emrooz Gallery in Tehran. His works have been displayed in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iran, including Seyhoun Gallery, Vali Gallery, and the Reza Abbasi Museum, as well as internationally in Dubai, Tajikistan, the United Kingdom, and Morocco. He continues to advance the dialogue between classical Iranian art traditions and contemporary visual language, making him one of the leading figures in modern Iranian art.
