From the Series “Knots of Being”
About the Artwork
What appears before the eye is not a closed and complete volume, but an event unfolding at the heart of Being—a moment in which matter reveals itself at the threshold of emergence, before it becomes a “thing.” The ring-like organic form in this work resembles a figure of becoming: not an entity that has been made, but an endless flow oscillating between Being and non-being. This ring is not a symbol of eternal return, but rather an ongoing rupture that presents itself in the guise of continuity. Here, form moves not toward stabilization, but in resistance to it. Each mass of matter seems to be pushed back toward becoming by a force—perhaps the very Heraclitean force of flux—at the very moment it seeks to consolidate itself into a state of Being.
